Berend Hendriks was a Dutch post WWII artist who produced monumental mosaics on public building such as churches and schools throughout the Netherlands. Recently, an unknown mosaic of his was discovered in the Beatrix school in Hilversum, depicting Jacob's dream in a war-setting. This article offers an overview of Hendrik's work and places the Jacob mosaic within the oeuvre of Berend Hendriks. The article is in English.

Ter gelegenheid van het pensioen van prof. dr. Ruurd Halbertsma, conservator Grieken en Romeinen in het Rijksmuseum van Oudheden, is een bundel gepubliceerd met vijftig artikelen, geschreven door collega’s en geleerden binnen het vakgebied van de klassieke collectie.
